Shaheed Not Near Extension With Seahawks, Likely to Test Free Agency

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is not close to a contract extension, according to Adam Schefter. The player, who was eligible for an extension to keep him from the open‑market, will likely test free agency on Monday.

Shaheed was part of the Seahawks’ Super Bowl LX roster and was brought to Seattle in exchange for fourth‑ and fifth‑round picks from the New Orleans Saints. With the free‑agency market opening, the Seahawks are expected to be outbid on the player.
